For the manufacture of carbide columns, drill bit teeth, rough and finish grinding of carbide parts and metalworking tools.

ADVANTAGES OF CBN SUPER ABRASIVES

Elbor or CBN wheels 1A1 can be used for grinding hard steels, both with cooling and dry. They can effectively replace abrasive corundum wheels. At the same time, they have much greater resistance. They do not leave spent sludge after grinding. Thus, CBN wheels do not pollute the cooling liquid, do not clog the cleaning filters. CBN wheels can also be called cubonite, borazon, even grinding stones. When working dry, there is no dust in the air. They do not clog the bearings with abrasive sludge. This significantly affects the durability of the machine and its components. CBN grinding wheels have higher productivity and can remove more material from the surface being processed than the hardest corundum abrasives. Therefore, diamond and CBN are considered super abrasives. Now grinding wheels with super abrasives are widely used in sharpening various tools in the mechanical engineering, woodworking industries, various auxiliary tool shops on sharpeners instead of conventional abrasives. They have especially gained popularity on TORMEK sharpeners for sharpening kitchen and hunting knives, hairdressing and cutting scissors, axes, chisels and many other household tools.
